Today is a very auspicious day of Mahashivratri. With blessings of Lord Shiva let's  start.

On the holy occasion of Mahashivratri, which was the occasion of union of Lord Shiva and adishakti Gouri. Lord shiva designated as Lord of destruction, but during "Samudra Manthan" he consumed the deadly poison to save the world existence. 

He is Lord of "moksha". Those who worship Him with fully devotion are absolved of all sins. On this holy day the devotees keep fasting and chant the mantra "Om Namah Shivay" to appease lord Shiva.

The devotees follow the principles with care, devotion ,love with dedication, chant with Shiva energy and bath "Shivling" with milk, honey and water. They believe that if Lord is pleased, then they attain supreme abode and relieved from life and death cycle and attain "Moksha".

He is the Lord of salvation from unnatural death.

Let us pray on this holy occasion with Mahamrityunjay Mantra,

" Om Traiyambakam Yajamahe

Sugandhim Pustibardhanam

 Urbarukmib Bandhanat 

Mrutrumukshiya Mamritat"
